Grammy 2024: SZA lidera con 9 nominaciones y Phoebe Bridgers le sigue con 7

La lista completa de nominaciones para la 67ª edición anual de los premios Grammy ya está disponible, con SZA como la nominada principal, con nueve. Otros nominados clave incluyen a Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Boygenius, Miley Cyrus, Jon Batiste, Victoria Monét y Billie Eilish, todos los cuales competirán contra SZA por la grabación del año. En la categoría de álbum del año, los ocho contendientes incluyen seis remanentes de la categoría de récord del año (SZA, Swift, Rodrigo, Boygenius, Cyrus y Batiste) además de álbumes de Lana Del Rey y Janelle Monae.

Después de las nueve nominaciones principales de SZA, tres figuras de la música están empatadas con siete nominaciones cada una: Monét, Phoebe Bridgers (seis de ellas por su trabajo con Boygenius, una por una colaboración con SZA) y el ingeniero de mezcla Serban Ghenea. Luego, ocho músicos están empatados al tener seis nominaciones cada uno: el productor Jack Antonoff, Batiste, Boygenius, Brandy Clark, Cyrus, Eilish, Rodrigo y Swift.

Está claro que es un mundo de mujeres en el universo de la música en este momento, siendo Batiste el único intérprete masculino en obtener seis nominaciones o más, a pesar de que nueve intérpretes femeninas hicieron lo mismo. El director de la Academia de la Grabación, Harvey Mason Jr., e invitados famosos anunciaron un conjunto selecto de nominaciones en una transmisión en vivo. La ceremonia de premiación se llevará a cabo el 4 de febrero de 2024 y se transmitirá en vivo por CBS.

Swift tiene el potencial de convertirse en la líder de todos los tiempos en premios a álbum del año si “Midnights” prevalece en esa categoría en febrero. Sería su cuarta victoria; Actualmente está empatada con Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder y Paul Simon, y cada uno de ellos tiene tres victorias.
